Zao WOU KI (1920-2013) / Ezra POUND (1885-1972) Canto Pisan LXXVI, Paris, Edition de l'Herne, 1972, in-folio (50.5 x 33 cm) in sheets including the filled cover with the artist's printed signature, the text and the 8 aquatints by Zao Wou Ki, each signed and annotated HC (Agerup 218-225), copy n°XIII (of XXX) also including a suite on japon nacré of the 8 aquatints, each signed and annotated HC and the decomposition of a color plate (Agerup 218) in three unsigned sheets, total edition of 180 copies, publisher's khaki cloth slipcase, perfect condition inside, wear to slipcase. The Cantos Pisans is the most famous work by American poet Ezra Pound. This long epic poem was first published in 1948. Zao Wou-Ki illustrated the French translation of one of the Cantos Pisans in 1972, the year of Ezra Pound's death. The painter dedicated this publication to the memory of his second wife, May.
