The Cantos Pisans is the most famous work by American poet Ezra Pound. This long epic poem was first published in 1948. Zao Wou-Ki illustrated the French translation of one of the Cantos Pisans in 1972, the year of Ezra Pound's death. The painter dedicated this publication to the memory of his second wife, May.
