The daughter of the poet Édouard Gazanion, she grew up surrounded by figures such as Francis Carco, Apollinaire, Max Jacob, Picasso, Braque, and Chagall. A music-hall singer, she later moved in the circles of haute couture and the arts. Her husband, an industrialist with the firm Steiner Frères, assembled for her a significant collection of exquisitely crafted paintings, fine jewelry from leading houses, as well as high-end, futuristic designer furniture—all reflecting the owner’s own style. After the sale, the watches will be stored in a bank vault. They may be retrieved at the auction house, Hôtel des ventes de CERGY-PONTOISE, 41 rue des Fossettes, 95650 Génicourt.
