GUILLAUME François, BOURGES Stoneware pitcher, "Il n'est vin que de France," 1930s Signed by incision on the bottom H: 15 cm (damage to the spout) A pioneer of pottery and stoneware in La Borne. He is credited with bringing about a true renaissance of this art form, which attracted a large number of ceramicists to La Borne. A historic piece that is rare on the market. The Bourges Departmental Archives dedicated an exhibition to him in 2018 titled “François Guillaume and the Renaissance of La Borne.” Please request condition reports: they are not included in the description.
