Pair of cabriolet-back armchairs in molded and carved wood with floral decoration, whiplash armrests, resting on four curved legs. Louis XV period Stamped "N.BLANCHARD 90 x 72 x 50 cm (Restorations) Note: Jean-Nicolas, known as "Le Jeune", Sylvain's brother, born around 1730, became a master on June 12, 1771, probably after the death of Sylvain, whose workshop he kept, rue de Cléry, au chat blanc. He became one of the royal family's suppliers. In 1776, he was commissioned by the Comte d'Artois to carve furniture for the salon particulier of the Comtesse de La Marck, in the Château de Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
