As a resident at Villa Medici from 1955 to 1958, he furthered his art, combining poetic sensibility with a literary approach. He illustrated works by Guillaume Apollinaire, such as L'Hérésiarque et Cie (1959), with 46 original etchings, and produced series of engravings such as Venise (1962). His work, both refined and expressive, can be found in several public collections, including the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Nantes. He also passed on his knowledge by teaching engraving.
