[Manuscript] Certificat de Congé Absolu de la Garde Nationale Parisienne, dated December 31, 1791, signed by Jérôme Petion, Mayor of Paris and countersigned by Commissaire Général de la Garde Nationale Viguier Curny, and Commandant (and future General) de Belair. The partly handwritten document is issued to Jean Henry Grandjean, a native of Paris, district of the Prémontrés, drummer in the Compagnie de Chabot. The printed part features a fine engraved vignette and frame, and the red wax seal of the Garde Nationale Parisienne.
