Jean-Léon GÉRÔME (1824-1904) Portrait of Suzanne Oil on canvas, annotated and dated upper left "SUZANNE GÉRÔME 1872". 56 x 43 cm (Small tears visible) Note: - Most probably the portrait of Suzanne Gérôme (1867-1941), the artist's second daughter, then aged around 5, who married the painter Aimé Morot (1850-1913) in 1887. In 1873, Gérald L. Ackerman's catalog raisonné (ACR 1986) mentions the portraits of two other Gérôme daughters by their father, Jeanne and Blanche, nos. 235 and 236.
