Elephant ivory (LOXODONTA AFRICANA) marquetry case on a marine tortoise shell (ERETMOCHELYS IMBRICATA) background, on a wooden core. 11.5 x 22.5 x 15.5 cm PB : 655 g (missing and damaged). *Ivory specimen (I/A) pre-Convention, prior to July 1, 1947 and therefore compliant with EC Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2-Wmc, and prior to July 1, 1975 and therefore compliant with the French decrees of May 4, 2017 and January 2022.
