Bas-relief depicting a woman's torso wearing a long tripartite wig encircled by a headband. headband. Her arm is raised to the right. On the reverse, a male head is engraved on the right and three ears, varying in size and shape. This is a sculptor's attempt. Limestone. Wear. Egypt, Ptolemaic period, 332-30 B.C. Height: 18.5 cm Width: 14.8 cm Wear and minor bumps. No restoration. Provenance : - Former Paris Private Collection of Victor Emile Gabriel CHEVALLIER (1889-1969) and his wife Marguerite Jeanne VEREL (1887-1962). - Mr. X's collection from 1969, then passed on through two estates to the current owner.
