Pair of mahogany and mahogany veneered bar chairs Empire period with openwork back ending in a scroll, rectangular seat resting on tapered front legs fluted at the top. Stamped "G.IACOB" for Georges JACOB (1739-1814) received master in 1765. 88 x 45 x 54 cm Provenance: Collection Chevallier-Verel, Grand salon de monsieur. Provenance: - Former Paris Private Collection of Victor Emile Gabriel CHEVALLIER (1889-1969) and his wife Marguerite Jeanne VEREL (1887-1962). - Mr. X's collection from 1969, then passed on through two estates to the current owner.
