JAPAN - MEIJI period (1868 - 1912) Square-shaped perfume burner with a four-legged cover in ro-iro lacquer decorated in hira maki-e with gold, aogai and mitsuda lacquer with butterflies in vine tendrils and flowers. (small chips, small lacks). H. 12.5 cm. Silver alloy lid with kiku. Wooden base (reported). Provenance: - Collection of Mr. X, then inherited by the current owner.
