CHINA - QIANLONG period (1736 - 1795)
IMPERIAL 'YANGCAI' ENAMELED PORCELAIN WATER POT WITH ROTATING DECORATION OF TRIBUTE BEARERS
Square covered water pot in polychrome and gold enameled "yangcai" porcelain decorated with lotus flowers, "kui" dragons and geometric scrolls on a powder blue background and central medallions opening onto a rotating cylinder decorated with foreigners bringing tribute, one holding a wrapped parcel, one a clock, one playing a horn, one accompanied by pugs, one bringing an elephant tusk and one bringing a bird. The base and neck are enamelled coral red, imitating lacquer, and decorated with friezes of greek plants and lotuses in their foliage and coiled kui forming feet. The octagonal lid is enameled coral red and gold with foliage and foliage. The interior and foot are enameled turquoise. On the reverse, the six-character zhuanshu mark in blue underglaze of Qianlong. (Restorations, chips, pierced cylinder) H. 18.5 cm
With a silver spoon with dragon head, hallmark 聚原 足紋(Juyuan zuwen, "boutique Juyuan, solid silver") . L. 11,5 cm

AN IMPERIAL QIANLONG 'YANGCAI' REVOLVING 'TRIBUTE BEARERS' WATER POT
A square and lidded water pot, the body adorned in gold enamel with lotus flowers, kui dragons and geometric scrolls on a blue ground with round openworks revealing the revolving part decorated in 'yangcai' polychrome enamels with tribute bearers bringing wrapped up presents, one bringing a clock, one an elephant tusk, one an exotic bird, one with pugs, one playing the horn. The foot and the neck enamelled in red imitating lacquer and adorned in gold enamel with Greek frets and lotus scrolls, four coiled kui dragons forming feet. The octagonal lid enamelled in red and decorated in gold with scrolls and flowers. Interior and foot enamelled turquoise. Qianlong six-character zhuanshu mark in underglaze blue underneath. H.18,5 cm
