In the style of Diego Giacometti Man holding a camera Metal H. 21.2 cm and H. 23.5 cm (with base) Provenance: Former Georges Lautner Collection, according to the current owner, friend and collaborator of the famous filmmaker. Note: This sculpture comes from the collection of an amateur from the South-West of France. He worked all his life in the film industry with the director Georges Lautner. Georges Lautner's wife is said to have placed a special order to pay tribute to her famous husband's profession on the occasion of an anniversary. On the death of his wife, the dying filmmaker offered the piece to a close friend, the current owner, in 1995. The sculpture has not been authenticated by the Diego Giacometti Committee. As the statuette is not listed by the Giacometti Foundation, the latter will not be making a decision on this statuette.
