CHINA, MING Dynasty (1368 - 1644), Late 15th/early 16th century Jar of baluster form ""guan"" in porcelain enamelled in turquoise blue, yellow and manganese ""fahua"" and reticulated with double walls of three go players accompanied by a servant under the pines and four immortals under the pines among large clouds, the shoulder decorated with a frieze of peonies in their foliage, the neck decorated with clouds. The inner part decorated with friezes and lotus petals. H. 37 cm Provenance: Cornette de Saint Cyr, October 9-10, 1985, lot 216 and illustrated in the catalog. Reference: Similar piece in the Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto, object no. 939.35 and in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, no. 17.120.152a, b Condition report / rapport de condition : the edge entirely restored the inside cracked about 15 cm, restoration in the lower lotus petals frieze with cracks cracks at the bottom, small chips on the reticulated parts
