Alfred Auguste Charles JANNIOT (1889-1969) "Antelope" Very beautiful and rare bronze print with a strongly nuanced antique green patina, during the artist's lifetime. No foundryman's mark Signed on the baseboard on the facade of the terrace on the top right A.JANNIOT. Certainly one of the very first bronze models, later published by the Fonderie des Artistes. Circa: 1929/1930 An identical model is presented in the museum of Algiers. There are 3 or 4 monumental versions of this work One finds this antelope on the bas-relief of the Museum of the Colonies of the Porte Dorée in Paris created for the colonial exhibition of 1931 in the Daumesnil park. A similar model in gilded bronze is represented in the book Alfred Auguste Janniot Aux éditions d'Art SOMOGY Page 70. Height : 35.5 cm Length : 23.5 cm Width : 9 cm
